At the end of this workshop you will be able to:

The mentor program serves families new to the Autism diagnosis by offering personal support in a caring and warm environment. Parent mentors are there for mentees to lend an ear, help you problem solve and guide you to the resources your child needs. If you have not already completed a participant registration form, you’ll find it online at www.autismtreeproject.org.

Please join us for ATPF Family Day at the San Diego Padres vs. San Francisco Giants home game!! There are 100 tickets available for each game for ATPF friends and families. First come, first serve. You MUST RSVP for your tickets through Lisa to reserve yours today. Contact Lisa at the office or through email: 619-222-4465 lisa@autismtreeproject.org There will be an ATPF team handing out tickets to everyone on the RSVP list on the day of the game in front of the gate entrance. NOTE to parents: PETCO Park offers complimentary admission to children under thirty-six (36) inches in height, provided they are accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket. These children must sit in the lap of the accompanying adult and not occupy an additional seat.

FREE Phase III Music Strategies in the Classroom Workshop and In Harmony Teacher Mentor Event
The Teacher Mentor Program is a way to provide face to face support for teachers who are interested in making music and speech therapy strategies a part of their toolkit of techniques for including children with special learning needs in the classroom. The goals of our program are:
1. Be able to implement the 10 steps of the In Harmony hierarchy
2. Be able to use In Harmony and other music as an inclusion tool in the classroom with children with and without special needs
3. Be able to utilize music therapy strategies in the classroom
Provided by board-certified neurologic music therapists Angela Neve and Julie Guy.

Community Autism Connection: Hosted by Scripps Green Hospital

This is a fun introduction to dance designed specifically for girls with autism spectrum disorders. We will learn how to move and feel comfortable in our bodies. We will also learn simple ballet skills, and some jazz steps. There will be lots of positive reinforcement and volunteers to help. Please note that this is a 4 week program, open to 6-8 year old girls on the autism spectrum.

Are you a parent of a child with special needs or a teacher who is feeling empty and burnt out from all your time running around? Are you and your spouse "trying" to love each other, but can't quite seem to get on the same page? You need and deserve some time for someone else to fill YOU up! We all have different styles of giving and receiving love and sometimes it can be confusing to know how to navigate our needs, especially if you are spending all your time serving others. This workshop is designed to give you some tools to help you identify how to receive love and recognize how others receive love too.
Amie Sharp BeMent is a registered Marriage & Family Therapist Intern at The Soul Care House: www.soulcarehouse.com. She loves to come alongside parents and support them and their families and relationships.
